This book definitely keeps you interested. The lives of the women is wonderfully punctuated with torrid and passionate love affairs. I thought the best part of the book was at the end when the real sadness comes through. I don't think I've ever read such beautiful and sorrowful words. It really mesmerized me I was totally encompassed in the world she created. I however hate the ending. I felt like it completely leaves you without closure. But I would read this book again, purely on the strength of the last few chapters, they are that good!
