excellent anaylsis of the welfare reform legislation (and its failures) told through an engaging story of three families.

Very candid/

it was entertaining but a bit cheesy. a female version of da vinci-type stuff, where there's an archivist doing stuff that's way over her head and implausible romance/passion scenes. it brings you back and forth in time to tell the history of an old book, and that was interesting. but if you put it down, you'll probably forget who is who and what story happened when. and the archivist in present time doesn't know what you know as the reader.
