حسنًا ، أنا بولييانا. أريد نهاية سعيدة. يمكنني العيش بدونها ، لكن الكراهية تكره الكراهية قصة تعد بنهاية سعيدة ، ثم في اللحظة الأخيرة ، بام!

I LOVED this book! Most people will look at the title and assume it's just about Tim Russert and his father but it's so much more than that. It's a love story from a man to his city. I have never been to Buffalo but I have a few friends who have grown up there. I am not an Irish-Catholic but I have a few friends who are. And I will be recommending this book to all of them. This book captured for me everything that is right about this country and that has been forgotten. It goes back to a time before smartphones stopped people from acknowledging each other on the streets and families knew who lived next door to them. And I'm a relative young'un - so this is not just the rambling of an old lady pining for her past! I hope that everyone will read this book by a great writer who passed before his time. The last chapter on the Bills was especially ironic. Big Russ said that people from Buffalo live so long because they are waiting for the Bills to win a Superbowl. It's sad that he didn't get to see that.
