I read this book to learn more about the history of Persia/Iran in the 17th century. To me there was a lot less to the "historical" part and too much "fiction". The sigheh was important and interesting, but it became the whole story and I was put off by it.

it was interesting, but did not keep my attention long enough.

The illustrations are beautiful and the rhythmic readings are very pleasing to the ear.
