There was a lot I could relate to. Not sure this book would appeal to those who don't work in emergency/crisis mental health.

The Charlie Bone series is by Jenny Nimmo. There are seven books, all VERY well written. As a general summary, these books are about Charlie Bone, and his friends and family. Charlie and his friends go to school at Bloor’s Academy, for kids talented in art, music and drama. But there is also the ‘endowed’. The endowed have special powers, such as a picture traveler, which Charlie is. He has evil great-aunts, and one of his grandma’s, and along with the Bloor’s and some of the endowed kids, are with them, as well. He lost his father when he was two, and so he is trying to defeat them, as well as trying to find his father. Will he succeed?? Read the books to find out! :)
