I do not understand the popularity and prestige this book holds. The story wasn't very engaging more well told. There were some clever inventions and wordplay, but it is very obvious that the humor is more aimed at younger audiences; however, the writing would not be easy for that age group to understand. I was thoroughly disappointed due to all the hype surrounding the book as well as the long lasting industry of remakes, adaptations, and re-imaginings. I would not recommend this to the hardest core fans of any of the adaptations.
