Even more so tragically strange (if not to say fatalistic ) that both poets described in their major works ("Eugene Onegin" and "The Hero of Our Time") fatal duel outcomes, in which the main characters (Onegin and Pechorin correspondingly) were coming out victorious out of those duels killing their more romantic rivals (Lensky and Grushnitsky) ..., unfortunately there was no so much luck for the real poets themselves ... Did poets anticipated their own fate as duel fatal victims ?
