This book has many emotions. I laughed out loud at some points, I felt sad for some characters. I'm glad I read it. Very good for a Star Trek Fan. Even better for a Voyager fan. (Not so good for a JC-only fan as Beyer still has to deal with Janeway's death.) But I loved the way Beyer handled it so it was all good.

A worthy sequel to the original. Kept the same level of action, characterizations, romance, and adventure of the first. And it still didn't hit a strong chord with me either. It was good, enough to keep me going, and I will probably read another if she does a 3rd book with these characters. Not one of my favorites, but not bad either. I know lots of people who have loved this one (and its prequel) so I encourage you to give them at least a try. For some reason they just didn't hit with me.
