When I read this book, it made me grateful for being an aunt, if only because I could buy it for my nephew.

It's really a good book. Predictable, but good. Who said that a story shouldn't be predictable? ;) The style of writing, I thought it's bit redundant - using the same idiom in several places, actually took the fun out of it. And towards the end, with Pastor Harris being actively seen, God became the prime subject in few pages, which I found unnecessary. Now, about the story, it's all about what changes can relations bring to your life and how sad or happy they can make you. With her prejudices, guesses and upright attitude, Ronnie was characterised well and the way she changed from being an arrogant and disappointed teenager to a complete woman towards the end is really good.
