The story of Joseph Plumb Martin is an incredible account that I would highly recommend to anyone who is interesting in having a better idea of what a soldier's life is like. More than just so, the author doesn't escape the idea he is narraring a history book which at times can be tedious and even a boring reading, so he makes sure that his account besides touching sounds hillorious as well.
