some of these are just exercises in characterization, but others are so compelling as to make the volume well worth the time, for instance: "On Seeing the 100% Perfect Girl One Beautiful April Morning" (completely romantic!) and "The Dancing Dwarf". some adult content. characteristically bizzarre murakami.

Boarding school. New England. Gothic castle. I want to go to there! I don't care what kind of nasties lurk inside, it's a gorgeous setting. So, I'm reading along at a fairly quick pace, picking up the cliches and usual tropes one would expect in a YA vampire story, when BOOM! Gray pulls the rug out from under me and turns her entire world upside down! Things from there only get better, even if I do tend to roll my eyes at the romance stuff. I'm definitely ready to read what the next three books have in store for Bianca and Evernight Academy. (Read on the HarperCollins website.)
