Great book, I am a huge fan of Jerry Bridges. You should do yourself a favor and read anything that he writes, this is a great place to start. Gospel centered as usual and very practical. This is by far one of my favorite books by Mr. Bridges.

When I read this with a friend in some college class I found it difficult to follow the thread of the lecture because my friend and I were busy keeping our somewhat hysteric-al laughter quiet. It was laughter of a Poe-ish perversity. One of a twisting recognition, as when you look into a funhouse mirror. She and I felt revealed, if only to and between ourselves. Perverse again because the recognition required each of us to identify the other before immediately turning our Jekyll faces back to the class.

It's like reading old newspapers from your hometown...in a good way. Not earth-shattering fiction, but pleasant. Good for the trip home to your roots.
