On a recent trip to the library, I stumbled across "The Light In The Attic" by Shel Silverstein. Once I opened it up and started reading those familiar poems, nostalgia flew right through me. It was my absolute favorite book when I was a child. So I figured, "Why not? I might as well check this one out." I figured it would give my brain a tiny break in between some of my more difficult reads. Well-over 10 years after reading it for the first time, it was just as wonderful as it was back then. It has such a wide array of topics, morals, and characters. Simple, honest poetry that any age can enjoy. [image error] It was such a treat to revisit that time in my life. I felt like a little kid again. I also found that some of his poetry makes more sense when you get a little older. It's the type of book that will just keep giving, no matter how much time has passed by. And if you enjoyed this one, you'll absolutely love his other books. These are a few of the ones I've loved for years: Falling Up, Where The Sidewalk Ends, The Missing Piece, and my personal favorite, The Giving Tree.
