Fantastic! It had a very strong Hunger Games feel to it. The main character, Tris, was believable as a strong female lead who has doubts and is struggling to discover who she is and how she fits into the world. The characters are very well developed and it does an excellent job examining the effects of division within a society. It's natural for people who think alike to work together, and Roth pushes this mentality to an extreme, focusing on how people will turn against those who think differently. While the novel deals with the breaking apart of a society, the main focus is on Tris and her personal journey of self-discovery. Extremely well-written. I can't wait for the sequel!
