Lovely, poignant, fascinating. My brother Jack lent this to me. If Jack likes it, you know that it is good.

i'm not sure that fowler is the final word on this topic, but a stage/developmental approach to spiritual growth, discipleship, etc. is sorely needed in today's church. it would require a return to the intellectual roots of the reformed fathers, who would cringe at the clumsy black and white of the modern evangelical movement. again, i don't quite agree with fowler on all points, but this book is incredibly important just for it's concept.
