I struggled with deciding whether to give this book 3 stars or 4. In the end I decided to go with 3 because as much as I enjoyed the book, I was actually excited to complete it and move on to something else. I think what I like most about this book is that I can relate in an almost scary way. I felt for Ellen and I understood her stuggle better than some people might. I think I appreciated it more for this. The end threw me a little (spoiler).... it seems like after more than 300 pages of Ellen trying to decide if she "settled" for Andy, that she does exaclty that. I was rooting for Andy the whole time (I like the "good guy" character) so I am glad they stayed together, but it was HOW they ended up together that bothered me. I can't really put my finger on why. I'm glad I read this as my first Emily Giffin novel based on the NBC girls telling me it's their least favorite book by her. I m lookng forward to eventually picking up Something Borrowed and Something Blue to see what all the fuss is about.
