This may be one of the saddest books I have ever read. I really thought that Greg Mortenson was making a difference in the mountains of Afghanistan and Pakistan only to find out that a lot of his "accomplishments" are way overblown and in many cases just not true. I've got to believe that there are still some noble causes that deserve our support. Unfortunately Greg Mortenson's Central Asia Institute just isn't one of them. John Krakauer's expose' is a short, to the point, well written summary as to how Greg Mortenson lost his way. I recommend that anyone who has read Three Cups of Tea read this.
