Great story! Ugggh, I was so annoyed at one of the main characters, John St. George. He was an arrogant, ignorant, self-centered, hateful, pompous ass! I kept reading and reading waiting for SOMEONE to give this guy his just desserts! I was so caught up and involved in this story. "From Boston to small-town Maine to New York, they shared love affairs, friendships, and betrayals... HILLARY COX...A successful writer, she could not escape her obsession for one man, and all the pain and passion he offered. JOHN ST. GEORGE...Not content with his father's fortune in tourmaline mines and a chain of jewelry stores, he wanted his father's young second wife, too. PAM ST. GEORGE...Her father's death left her at her half-brother's mercy, and John would rule her like a tyrant, and a lover. CUTTER REID...Transformed from a kid with no future to a man of distinction, he was the object of John's undying hatred, and Pam's tempestuous love. When John St. George announces his engagement on national TV, Hillary Cox threatens to bring him down in disgrace-while a three decade old family drama of power, duplicity, and money comes to its explosive conclusion..."

I loved this book! It was such an interesting read about Jacob, Rachel, and Leah from the Bible- and though not entirely accurate in my book; it made those characters come alive and I thoroughly enjoyed this story of Dinah- daughter of Leah. It is a "girl" book all the way- about love, babies, and motherhood- so of course, I loved it. I am totally buying it for my mom to read because I know she would enjoy the midwifery in it! Thanks to Bonnie, my MIL, for letting me borrow this book- I highly recommend it.
