Tim Dorsey is to Carl Hiassen as Richard Pryor is to Dave Berry. Or: imagine a slapstick Jeff Lindsay - "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" on laughing gas. Sick, twisted, and brutally funny. My only complaint: it was exhausting to read, just one action-gag after another from breathless start to breathless finish. Every good stand-up knows you need to pause to let the audience laugh - Dorsey's comic timing could use some work, but his material is first-rate.

One of my favorites ... two brothers exploring life through fly-fishing and faith along the Blackfoot in Montana. Just a beautifully crafted story.
