Not as good as "Running With Scissors" but still a decent read, particularly for insight into the personal process of grappling with addiction.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book. It's definitely one to savor as it's a slower read than some, but there's something really cool about the fact that it was published from a discovered transcript of a woman who died at Auschwitz, though has nothing to do with her experiences there! I sometimes get tired of the many stories from the World War II and try to find stuff like this that is completely off the beaten track. In this case, the French experience of the war, particularly living in German-occupied France. If you're into WW II and want a different perspective along with a very human reaction to every day life during war time, this is the book for you!
