Being a Batman nerd and a wannabe comics writer, this book kind of kills me because other Batman comics are pointless after this one. Still, a great piece of writing in that everything has a purpose and not a word is wasted, and probably some of the best mainstream superhero art ever put to paper. As good as Batman Begins is, it owes everything to Year One.
