This one was a bit harder for me to get through than the previous two titles. The plot really didn't speed up until the last 25 pages or so and then it was over quickly, a little too conveniently tied up. Flavia remains one of my favorite precocious protagonists, though, and I will read any more titles that come out in this series.

This is my own story. I'm not really voting on it, just making sure it gets noticed, because it's one of my babies! And just as I would brag about my own living children, I have to do so for my paper and electronic ones too. This is the 3rd in a series of 6 short stories that will end up being compiled into one book. The series is called "The VooDoo Follies" and follows a young, Seraphine LaLande as she stumbles through learning the voodoo that her family has been practicing for generations. There are definitely some set backs in her venture, as well as some interesting turn of events. I hope you will join Seraphine and I on her path to becoming a voodoo priestess!
