I ended up having to race through this book and I didn't want to. It was a really good story about things not always being what they seem in so many ways. Liked this a lot. Plenty of good reasons to read a story like this--the small town in the South, the time period, the racial issues, the bullying, the prejudices that are around every corner in the story. And snakes!
