I loved this book which is including sad love story of a teenaged-girl with older man who also crushes with her mother and suspension over her step father and her mother for the death of that older man, named Peter. This family that consists of a teenage girl named Evie, mother named Bev and step mother named Joe goes to their vacation to Palm Beach, but that place is ghost city during the fall season. And they get to know every person who is staying in the hotel and while they are staying there, Evie becomes to want to be like her mother who is really attractive and falls in love with a guy who is order than her. I thought this is such a fool story in that both mom and daughter are interested in a same man, Peter, and mother lies so many times while the daughter is trying to get attention from Peter. However, at the last part, in the inquest for the death of Peter when Evie lies in the inquest that the one who was kissing with the man is herself to protect her mother and her step father. I was touched in that part that a girl who was just a girl at the part changed to a wise and brave woman. This is a really good book to see how a girl grows to a woman and how the love of family can overcome a big problem by making family stick together.
