For someone with a fascination with the ocean and extreme weather, like me, this book is amazing. I loved the detailed meteorological explanations, the technical details of ship building and all of the facts and figures about the biggest waves, worst storms, shipwrecks etc. It was fascinating to read about what it is like to drown as well - just how quickly is happens and how many people have died this death over the millenia. This is the kind of book I could read many, many times and find things I missed or didn't fully take in the first time...A rare 5 stars...
