Wow. Just wow. If you think that this book is on the same par as The Virgin Suicides... it's not. I think the author has a great knack for discussing subjects and bringing out discussions about things that are relevant to the time he's writing. What's it like to be brought up one gender and then realize that you're not really that particular gender? There's several very taboo subjects that are brought up in great detail and the author wrote them in a way that made me, as a reader, become completely taken in.
