Everyone should read this book, although the point could have been gotten across in half the pages. This book answers a lot of questions I've had, like "how come there are no buildings from the native Hawaiian population?". Fascinating!

One of the funniest books I've ever read. Franken's indictment is often hysterical, and always richly documented. Sadly, you leave the text somewhat pessimistic about the future of American politics. It seems that the right-wing media charlatans of which he speaks continue their ways unmolested or even barely challenged.
