Chock with symbolism of the Diaspora -- gold for a paper for "Jewish Latin American" lit class.

Good read. Simple story.

This was a light, fun read that gets bonus points for imaginative twists. I loved the setting - Regency Britain at war with Napoleon. And dragons with personality who have relationships with their masters - very fun. It's interesting to me that the female author wrote a book that feels very masculine with a masculine protagonist. I had a bit of a hard time mentally following all of the flying and battle scenes with all the whirling around and grappling and such in the air. I get motion sickness, so maybe that's my problem! I was also hoping for a bit more... romance? It might be coming in the follow-on books in the series. This book felt like it was just the set up to much more. But therein lies my problem - I don't know if I LOVED this enough to read two or three more books of it. Especially when I'm pressed for time and trying to use my reading to further my literary tastes and skills. So alas, I may never know if romance follows. Unless I find a lottery ticket on the ground and win the lottery and have all the time to read in the world.
