I think a 3.5 is more like it. If this book is typical of Bryson, he's not the best writer. But he is funny. Even more important, he has the outlook about the environment. I also think he does a nice job of mixing hiking with background information about whereever he is at a given time. Overall, it's a nice, light read.

It was good. A little lacking for a novel, but Wolff is comical. Not a fave, not a regret.
