I really couldn't ask for a better end to the series. I feel like I grew up with Harry, and this was just such a great ending. Rowling was trying to please so many people and answer as many questions as possible, and she did it well. There were some very depressing parts and some parts of pure elation. I felt the emotions that the characters felt. There were obvious faults with the book, but they really didn't bother me. You can nitpick whatever you would like, say you didn't like this part, or that part, etc. But what does that really accomplish? Rowling had such a huge task ahead of her with finishing this book, there was no way she could make everyone happy. She simply wrote the story as she envisioned it. This book gets 5 stars because of what it meant to me. The Harry Potter series truly is a masterpiece of literature. And not because it is so artfully written and though provoking (although there are some deep passages). This was merely the fitting end. The chapter on Snape is one of my favorite pieces ever. There was so much meaning within it. If you simply take this book for what it is, you will enjoy it.
