Started this book last year but didn't get past the first few pages. Picked it up again as a sort of palate cleanser from reading another genre and read all three books in the series in a little over a week. I'm not going to lie, there is so much over-the-top-ness in the book I really am surprised I enjoyed it so much. But I think that is the key - this was pure entertainment and that is exactly what I needed in my life right now. I definitely think fans of Stephanie Plum will enjoy the humorous tone in this book but just picture the disasters Steph got into and multiply it by 100. If you were annoyed by Steph's antics in those books, I don't think you'll enjoy this series. For me, though, there's a certain charm to Bobbie Faye's character that I just rolled with each disaster to see not only how she would handle it but how the characters around her would too. I enjoyed her interactions with Trevor and loved how she stayed front and center in most instances instead of playing back-seat driver to the big, strong hero. There's also a sort of romantic triangle with one of Bobbie Faye's ex-boyfriends who is a cop that is on Bobbie Fay & Trevor's trail as they run around trying to save her brother from kidnappers. Just a heads up because some people aren't a fan of the ol' triangle storyline. Overall, a fun read that I hope will be released on audio because I think it's a great candidate to be brought to life, so to speak :)
