i relate this to teenage angst poetry. i know, it hurts. here's a tissue and an advil. call me in three years. i'm actually surprised that i don't have a more positive memory of this one. especially considering how over-involved i can get with characters in fiction, i never really got that wrapped up in holden caulfield. and this was on of the tenth grade books, the year in my life dedicated to: omg life is like, sooooooo hard. i would like to pick this one up again. maybe it will surprise me this time around. maybe i'll be able to relate more being slightly farther from my melodramatic angst. only slightly. or maybe it would give me some perspective on the movitation for someone to say, "i just shot john lennon."
