What a fun book! I'm a little obsessed with Emilie Du Chatelet right now, but nontheless, this book was a great read. The biography is exciting (it is, afterall half about Voltaire, that rascal), and the references to the science are clear. The science isn't explained in great depth, which can be helpful for most people. I wanted a bit more. And you can tell that Mr. Bodonis added some pizazz to the facts, but i really loved it.

good story spanning two generations... interesting relationships dealing with race and gender... all over good read!
