I have gotten caught up in the Pendergast series and continue to have a difficult time putting aside their books to do other things. This book made me want to shower, as much of the story involved time spent in the sewers and tunnels below New York City. While I started this series with the third book, "Cabinet of Curiosities," I would suggest that a person should read "Relic" prior to "Reliquary," as there are definite ties in plot and characters. I will definitely be adding more from this series to my Kindle. I don't tend to read books with mutated creatures as part of the plot, but Preston and Child spin a good tale and I do love Pendergast.
