I thoroughly enjoyed this memoir; but the ending was so abrupt that I felt like I was midstream in a rushing river.

I have been into memoirs lately and this is the best one I have found. This tale of a white woman growing up in rural Africa and the struggles her family endured amongst one another and because of the environment were fascinating.
