In my attempt to read more mysteries, this author was recommended to me. This was set in Los Angeles in the 1960s when racial tensions were high, surrounding a black woman who was raped and murdered. The story was interesting but the end was rather anti-climactic.

Very interesting story of pioneering women. I learned alot.
