واحدة من أطرف وأكثر الروايات متعة قرأتها منذ فترة طويلة.
Twisted is kind of backwards. At the beginning they talk about how the character isn't a dork anymore, not the end. I like the characters, the innocent girl, good boy gone bad, the jocks, the best friend, and all the characters in between. I also like the plot. Not just of the story how in it the author somewhat refers to rich people having so much power over the middle class. The book is very well written. She explains everything in good detail and keeps it interesting. Tyler Miller, the main character of Twisted starts off by saying how he was. Before the summer he had no muscles and was the nerd, with the nerdy friend. But right before the summer he played a prank. That one prank landed him community service till the end of the summer, where the story starts. There is also the his crush, the "innocent" cheerleader, Bethany Milbury, also his fathers bosses daughter. His best friend Yoda who helps him through what Bethany puts him through. Bethany's brother, Tylers bully. And of course, his parents the mother that cares for both her kids. The father who cares more for his job. First, Tyler breaks Bethanys leg. Then, they start hanging out. Bethanys brother is not happy about this. Neither is Tylers dad, he just doesn't want it to effect his job in anyway. Everything is finally good for Tyler but, one party wrecks it all. When Tyler thinks he is doing good it all turns on him. He starts being blamed for something he didn't do. His family is being torn apart, and not just because of him. No one likes him and he is forced to not come to school, but then goes and sits in a room all by himself. All because of one girl. Laurie Anderson wrote Twisted very well. She puts in a lot of detail about the characters. She does good on explaining the plots. I also like how she makes the story interesting. As you continue reading you start to put things together. She does good making you understand the main character, to see what they are going through. Twisted was a really good book to read. There was different characters, all the ones you could find in a big school. The plot was good. It had different issues being talked about and was kept interesting. Also Laurie Anderson wrote it very well. I liked the detail she used.
