I started this book two days ago and am now ripping through it at a good pace. It's utterly engrossing, and I plan to get my whole family hooked as well. It has been months since I've finished a piece of fiction not written for kids (Hello, A Series of Unfortunate Events). This book and Neil Gaiman's Stardust have broken that painful streak. I can't wait to acquire the other two in the trilogy. Oh, it was totally awesome and I ran out and immediately bought the next two!

This is an excellent y.a. fiction, but is suitable for adults. Zusak writes in a way that consistently breaks the surface of the young adult genre. My students who read this book loved it, and cried.
