I loved the first two books in this series. The teaser for this book made me BAWL. I could hardly wait to get my hands on a copy of Voyager. It was the biggest disappointment EVER. The absurdity of the plot suddenly crossed the line from whimsical fantasy to just plain stupid. In the first two books, the lovable characters and romance held together the story so well that I didn't care how silly the premise was. But the relationship seems to grow stale in the later books, like some kind of TV sitcom plot. They fight the same fights and love the same things about each other and never seem to mature or develop as people. Bo-ring. Worst of all, the whole evil/gay/anal rape thing started to get majorly disturbing. From here on out, the series reads like some kind of anti-gay propaganda. All major villains are gay, and all gays are dastardly ass rapists. Why?? Now I am forced to look back at my beloved Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber and wonder... was this all a lead-up to some kind of moral about the evils of sodomy? How un-romantic.
