لمحبى الرعب والخيال كان هذا شيء مميز. حصلت عليه في عيد ميلادي من قبل صديق جيد للغاية. أولاً اعتقدت أنني لن أقرأها أبدًا ، وربما بدأت للتو ؛ ولكن بعد عدة صفحات اشتعلت لي ولم أستطع أن أخذلك. في يوم واحد تم القيام به. هذا جعلني أغير حدودي فيما يتعلق بالكتب.

I expected more from this book, being that it was written by Joyce Carol Oates. This book seemed almost slapped together; I didn't sense any passion from the author in it. I did not feel sympathy for the characters and there was nothing unique about it in my opinion. The plot almost had a "been there done that" kind of feel to it. It was flat and boring. There was no depth of character or substance, and yet I sense it was supposed to be some kind of thought provoking, profound novel. But, it seemed as though Ms. Oates was just trying to slap together another bestseller. I also could not get past the spelling errors and grammatical mistakes - at least in the version I read.
