I really loved this book and love that it is a book that young people can read and really enjoy. It is another WW2 story about a young german girl. The narrator is Death who is just your everyday good samaritan. Someone you could enjoy a beer with. This is a very different take on that time in history. All the characters are wonderfully developed, their stories are all interesting/heartbreaking without being too over the top. Beautifully written. This is the type of book that you will want to share with everyone you know. It will go down as a classic for sure. I highly recommend and will be passing this along to my 11 year old because I want her to experience what brilliant storytelling is all about.

Flirting with disaster... Imagine if you will, wishing something bad and that something bad came true. That would make you feel guilty for a lifetime. Imagine how Adam feels when this happens to him. Decent short story.
