A very creepy book, sort of a compilation of all the fears children have parceled into a book with a happy ending. Part of what made this such an odd book is it gave one the impression that it had been published post-houmusly, like the author didn't have time to polish it and fill in the detail. I still found it worth reading and despite being over sixteen at the time, felt a bit chilled at the end, and kind of afraid of doors.

This book lacked a solid storyline that could be believable.IT read so much like a child who was trying to make up an interesting story by throwing in popular kids themes! This book could have been fun. I thought the author was hasty in putting out this tale. It could have done with some skillful editing after a few revisions. Some stories need to stew in the mind for a while before it is ready to be put down while others can be enhanced by revisions
