I absolutely loved this book! It was very funny, and I could see boys really getting a kick out of it as well. It is the story of an Indian boy who decides to attend school off the "rez" in a very racist white town. Leaving the rez is somewhat of a sign of disrespect to his people which leads to him having issues with his best friend. You also follow him as he struggles to find his place at his new schools by learning new ways of behavior. The voice is so personal, and it is a quick and easy read.
This was a fun Regency romance. Loved the dialogue. A bit silly in places, but sometimes that's perfectly fine and I don't mind it a bit! Enjoyable, light read.
This author reminded me of Jennifer Weiner (don't be fooled by the name, "Curtis Sittenfield" is a woman), which is probably how I got sucked in so quickly. I enjoyed the book very much...until the end. I was incredibly disappointed in the ending! Now, I'm not going to say that I always need a happily-ever-after kind of ending, but the final chapter of this book was so anti-climactic that it reminded me of some of my ex-boyfriends. :(
