This was actually my second reading of this one and it remains my least favorite even though I intially loved Phury way back in the beginning of the series. Phury - inPHuriating. Get over it! Cormia - I actrually liked her more this time around. I will ignore her obsession with peas and toothpick architecture and Phury's seeming expertise in judging such things. "It has nice lines" (but you do not Phury) Layla - will this girl EVER go away?? Someone (NOT Qhuinn) please have sex with her already! Qhuay - yes, please and thank you. Favorite quote: Z to Phury " for f*ck's sake, get off the cross. Someone else needs the wood." I skipped over all the lesser stuff - which I think I did the first time too. It was kind of weird reading Rhev and JM/Xhex's story in reverse and I mostly skipped over that too. Loved the pool scene where Phury gets all RAWR over Cormia. He seemed to only get high, masturbate and feel guilty for most of the book so it was nice to see him man up for his girl!
