Crosley definitely knows how to write a short, concise and humorous essay. This book reads very quickly (I read it on my commute to and from the Bronx.) Since Crosley herself lives in the city, there were little bits of the book that spoke to that which was fun to read. Her essay "Smell This" was actually laugh out loud funny. But I have to admit there were moments where Crosley's humorous narrative seemed pretty forced, and a lot of the essays weren't very smart. They were just there. Kind of funny, easy to read. It gave me a book buzz when I'd rather be book bombed. If that makes any sense. Good for something you want to pick up every now and then (like when you're traveling or commuting), because I suppose in the end it will entertain just fine.
