Very good book, it took me a long time to read but mainly because I was distracted by other things ;) Good story about history and politics and relationships. In light of what happened at VA Tech today, this book has an interesting perspective on gun control...

Extraordinary book - especially as it's told from the perspective of a sentient, genius monkey. I find scifi/fant writers often make the mistake that new scifi actors do – they simply over do it. OSC, a seasoned writer, has a signature style that is descriptive but not gratuitous. He has a knack of causing readers to view the world from behind his characters’ eyes. Even monkey eyes.

I was relieved with the turn out of events. I suspected some of it as in unfolded, but was shocked at the final reveal. I think it tied up loose ends and felt like we could see Harper and Tolliver move on in a good way with getting to stay in touch with their sisters and enjoying eachother without any shadows of the past lingering.
