Brilliant in bits, but overall just ok. Kept seeing DFW in it (Richard's chewing tobacco, the competitiveness between him and Walter etc). Enjoyed the 'political' bits for their food for thought outside the novel but felt that in the story they came across a bit preachy and tended to make the characters less believable as people and more like instruments for his agenda.
