John Grisham has an incredible way of reeling the reader in and surprising them at the very end. When I thought I knew the twist, I realized there was more story to unfold! The Summons is a fantastic read ~ Grisham doesn't disappoint! Two brothers are summoned to their father's death bed, a retired Judge with almost royal status in his community though no relationship with his boys. The men show up and their father's dead ~ only to discover a number of secrets he'd been holding besides the fact that he'd left hardly anything to either of them. Follow the main character, Ray, as he battles with his own secrets and integrity along the way of solving the mysteries of his father. Loved it!
An A-to-Z encyclopedia covering business contracts. Great for paralegal and management students, as well as students researching how to start a business.
I may direct the play this summer, but we will see if it's condusive to the work I'm looking to do. ps...shakespeare is my hero.
So really, I'm only reading it because the setting seems pretty epic (t might give me ideas on a story i'm writing). Plus the cover looks cool. The plot seems ok/decent, and the characters totally do not spark my interest (unless the other characters are cool, I absolutely cannot stand books with womanizers, especially if they are arrogant). I hope I'm surprised in a good way. Aside from the setting, i have absolutely no desire to read this. So Mark Newton, prove me wrong.
