Glad I bought this book on the clearance rack. I liked the first book but didn't realize this whole story was about a character that I didn't care for in the first one. Nothing great.

Not really my type of three star book, but two stars is too low. It's not that it was written poorly or was boring, it's just that I am really not a dog person. At times it did make me understand that loyalty and bond a dog brings, but most of the time I was thinking I don't really care about the history of labs, or all Marley's destruction, etc. That's why you don't get a dog. I'm not really an animal lover, so that could be my problem. I think dogs are smelly and hairy and I don't like either of those things. I have a hard enough time keeping my life together without having to worry about a pet. Maybe I'm just mean. It really was a well written book, just not my favorite subject.
