I just feel so--curiously mixed about this book. I think I would have liked it much better if I hadn't already read several pieces of fiction, ostensibly inspired by this (and the reason I picked this up in the first place) that took the concept and did it one better. I think the main difference between this story and those were that those knew when to... stop.
